No. Published experiences have a public URL anyone can open. Clients can view the 3D model, launch AR, switch between material/colour variants, and read specifications — all from a browser link, no app or account required.

Placewize is built around .glb (the web-3D standard), but you don't convert anything manually. Our free Universal Converter accepts most formats (OBJ, FBX, STL, DAE, 3DS, DXF, PLY, Rhino .3dm, Blender .blend and more) and produces web-ready .glb automatically. We also provide one-click export plugins for Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, 3ds Max, ArchiCAD, SolidWorks and Blender, and you can import PDF floorplans that convert to AR-ready 3D.

On iPhone and iPad, AR launches via Apple Quick Look. On Android, it launches via Google Scene Viewer. Both run directly in the mobile browser — no app download required.

Open the link in Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android) rather than an in-app browser (Instagram, LinkedIn, Messages) — use "open in browser" if you see it. AR needs a recent device (iOS 12+, or an ARCore-supported Android), camera/motion permission, and a data or Wi-Fi connection. If the AR button still doesn't appear, reload the page.

AR places models at 1:1 real-world size, so it depends on the export units. If it looks off, set a scale reference on the variant in the Models tab — match it to a known real-world dimension and re-launch AR. Floorplans are always placed at true architectural scale.
